Tri Scapes chosen to build Burdett Park in Sandy Springs
Sandy Springs awarded a bid for Burdett Park a small park at the corner of Burdett Drive and Johnson Ferry Road Provided by Sandy Springs Sandy Springs picked the bid by Tri Scapes of Alpharetta to construct Burdett Park in the right-of-way at the corner of Johnson Ferry Road and Burdett Drive Inhabitants Works Director Marty Martin explained during the Sandy Springs City Council s June meeting that the project includes removing invasive species and grass grading construction of drainage a compacted crushed granite path with cobble edge pedestrian lighting installation of a drinking fountain landscape improvements and park furnishings A city spokesperson disclosed the park should be completed this fall Bids ranged from Tri Scapes low bid to Martin declared the engineer s estimate was Ronda Smith president of the Mountain Springs Neighborhood Association revealed the neighborhood has sought these improvements for this very visible space for a long time The improvements will further enhance the aesthetics on Johnson Ferry Road that began with improvements at the Abernathy Arts Center planting of hundreds of street trees since and installing pedestrian lights It ll be a great to complete the aesthetic It will provide a great stopping point for runners walkers and dog walkers Smith reported The post Tri Scapes chosen to build Burdett Park in Sandy Springs appeared first on Rough Draft Atlanta
